Hueys, a family restaurant with 7 locations in the Memphis and Southaven areas, is seeking Restaurant Managers. Duties and responsibilies include (but not limited to) the overseeing of the day-to-day operations, assuring quality service & products while operating w/in req'd budget levels. Front of House Managers work the floor during meals and other busy times. Interacting with staff daily including management and employees, coordinates and assists in HR functions including, hiring/termination, discipline, training, etc. Use of tact and common sense, handling problems and complaints from customers, employees and vendors. Review and audit functions. Calculate labor costs; adjust labor as needed to comply with budget and volume levels on a shift-by-shift basis. Weekly/monthly inventory taking of food, liquor, beer, and wine while maintaining inventories at or below budgeted levels. Kitchen Manager works window position of the kitchen line during busy times. Oversees prep of all food products while following recipes and guidelines. Ensures the upkeep, cleaniness and organization of the front and back of the house. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, Bachelors degree preferred but not necessary. MUST have two or more years of management experience in FULL-SERVICE, family oriented restaurants. Excellent communication skills are necessary to deal effectively w/a diverse group of employees, customers, and purveyors. Must be flexible, able to meet deadlines, & detailed oriented. Work requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, or performing other work requiring light physical exertion up to 60-80% of the time.
