This Is My Memphis Videos
We're collecting special videos by special people.
First, inspired by Live From Memphis’ Li’l Film Fest, we’re inviting you to create 3-5 minute short films that spotlight what makes Memphis so special to you.
There’s no limits to what it can be - a documentary, a travelogue, a drama, a comedy, or whatever your creativity inspires. Post your entry on youtube as a “This Is My Memphis” video and email us the link and a short description at info@memphistourismfoundation.org.
We'll keep a list of the videos here and also enter them into our contest. At the end of 12 months, we’ll select the best and announce the winner, who’ll receive a special prize from the Memphis Tourism Foundation.
But that's not all.
It’s no secret that being a Memphian connects you to a rich musical heritage, a soul-induced culture, and a rhythm that keeps time to the mighty Mississippi River. We’re looking for people who can tell us about these kinds of personal connections, the secrets about Memphis that they’ve discovered, and why they choose to live and work here.
Thanks to My Memphis TV (www.mymemphis.tv), we begin with the comments of three dozen Memphians talking about their hometown, but we're looking for yours too.
We welcome your videos that complete the sentence that begins, “This is my Memphis because…” If you want to showcase a place that's also special to you, that would be great.
