I did about knock a couple of people out trying to squeeze myself and a car seat down the isle – I do believe they let people with small children on first….however there is not enough room to get you and the car seat in and get it tightly secured — just don’t tighten it too much. Remember – the belts buckle more in the middle so it is more difficult. On our flight back – the belt tightened as we flew so at midnight back here at port Columbus I was stuck with a flight attendant trying to get it unbuckled – to no avail! Finally the two pilots came back to see what the problem was. After about 30 minutes – they finally got it loose enough to take the air plane seat apart – literally – and unlatch the seat belt from under the seat in order for me to get Karter’s car seat out! Fun! I would suggest a luggage strap to help carry the carseat, NEW small toys/books/crayons that will interest him on the flight, fruit snacks and boxed drinks – if they allow it now.
